Panel Discussion "The Future of Work"
In 2009 the BMW Foundation will once again organize a big panel discussion at BMW Welt in Munich. The focus will be on the globalized worlds of work and their consequences for the individual. The discussion will revolve around the following key themes: What are the leadership qualities of the future? Will dependent gainful employment soon be a model of the past? Will work become our life and our life become work? Competition seems to have become the universally valid organizational principle of our economic and social order – are our private lives also influenced by our thinking in terms of individual performance?

4th Young Leaders Lecture
Miriam Meckel, professor of corporate communications at the Institute for Media and Communications Management at the University of St. Gallen, was the 4th speaker in our Young Leaders Lecture series and talked about modern individuals being caught in the “communication trap”.
